We often read both in print and online ads: westy Hatchery, Litters Westy, Westy Breeding, Westhy Kennel, Westy Puppies, West Highland puppies etc.. Something which itself knows no race or history. The correct and complete would talk about breeding ground of West Highland White Terrier, West Highland White litters or breeding Terrier West Highland White Terrier.

As a breed originating from Scotland, where the wife they called wifie, is also typical of those lands to speak of Westie Kennel, which translated is: Westie Breeder, Hatchery westies, if plural, breeding westie westie or litters, but never Hatchery Westy, Westy, westhy or other finishes.
